A Typical Day in Greece
Take a look at a sample schedule below. We will give you a day by day itinerary when you arrive as the resort schedules our activities. If you have any questions, let me know!
8am Pranayama and Meditation
Start the day with an optional pranayama and meditation session before yoga in one of the yoga shalas.

2:30pm Afternoon Activities
Afternoons offer options to lunge, check out a beach, stroll through town, and much much more! You will have lots of choices and downtime.
9:30am Breakfast
We will eat breakfast together after yoga every morning. Your breakfast is always included.
6pm Evening Yoga.
Most days we will offer a gentle yoga class to unwind, relax, + head into the evening. Each class will be tailored to what the night holds.
10:30am Beach + Activities
Each day after breakfast you can choose beach, an activity, or chill poolside. Lots of options!
7:30pm Dinner
Dinner is included every evening. Some nights we will have optional activities, or just toast each other in our luxurious surroundings!
Flights + Ferries
If you are flying into Athens you WILL need to arrive a day early in order to catch a ferry to Amorgos. The ferries only leave in the am and unless you arrive in Athens VERY early, before 6am, it is unlikely you will make the ferry to Amorgos.
At this time, the earliest ferry leaves Athens at 6:45am on June 28th and the latest at 9am. While this is a long cruise-- you'll be cruising trough the Greek Isles, and we can think of worse things.
We will pick you up at whatever port you arrive in. I will greet you at Aegialis when you arrive. I will send a form out soon for ferry and flight information, as well as any dietary restrictions.
When departing, please remember that the ferry schedule can affect your flight. Currently, the two ferries arrive in Athens after 8pm on July 5 and at 5am on July 6th respectively. We suggest opening one extra night in Athens or flying directly out of Santorini. Please check ferry schedules before booking flights.

Greek cuisine is famous all over the world for its delicious authentic dishes including the popular savoury pastries and pies. This cooking class demonstration takes part at the Ambrosia Gallery Restaurant at Aegialis hotel & spa and is led by the resident chef.
You will be introduced to the most traditional types of Greek dishes and will learn how to make these, step by step, from start to finish. The vegetables and herbs used for these recipes come from our organic gardens. Add the wine tasting for $50.
-
Greek Dancing Lesson
Dance holds a special place in the traditions of the island.
All year long, there are many opportunities for local people -men and women- to wear their traditional costumes and dance until dawn, to the sound of the lute and violin. A convivial dinner is often the occasion of spontaneous dances, such as Kitsos or syrtos…
Learn the steps, take part to the festivities and discover the art of living. Included in your retreat package.
-
Daily Yoga + Meditation
We will start each day with an optional pranayama and meditation session at 8am.
Daily yoga classes will be offered at 8:30am and will be taught by Shelley or a DDY Travels teacher or assistant. Expect vinyasa classes in the morning to help us energize and start our day!
Most evenings we will offer yoga at 6pm— maybe vinyasa, maybe Yin or restorative…. we will choose evening classes based on our activities of the day and what the evening holds.
